This will enhance interaction between banks, ensure convenience, and expand the availability of payment services for consumers.
The National Bank announced the launch of an interbank QR payment service for goods and services in bank mobile apps. The service is implemented by JSC National Payment Corporation of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Its implementation expands the banks' payment services, enabling clients to accept and make interbank QR payments to any bank.
Since September 30, the interbank QR payment service has been available to clients of JSC Bank CenterCredit, JSC Home Credit Bank, and JSC Freedom Bank. To complete a transaction, customers must log into the bank's mobile app, scan the QR code on the merchant's terminal (serviced by one of the participating banks), and confirm the payment.
The launch of interbank QR payments will enhance interaction between banks, ensure convenience, and expand the availability of payment services for consumers.
The National Bank continues to gradually integrate other financial market participants. The new service will be available in other banks' mobile apps as their internal processes adapt.
The interbank QR payment service is being implemented as part of the development of the National Digital Financial Infrastructure (NDFI). These initiatives are aimed at increasing competition and making interbank payment services more accessible and convenient for consumers.
