Another modern library has opened in the Volgograd region.

A modernized, model-standard institution was established on the site of the central city children’s library in Kamyshin, Volgograd Region.

The Kamyshin library was renovated as part of the national “Family” project. The building was completely renovated. Furniture, technical and gaming equipment, and computers were purchased. The institution also received new books, and its staff received training in using modern technology.

The model library is a truly modern cultural center, according to the regional administration’s press service. Young readers will have access to new books and periodicals, as well as modern equipment and information databases.

The library also provides facilities for various cultural, educational, and awareness-raising events. It now has the capacity to accommodate exhibitions and concerts.

As a reminder, the Volgograd Region is improving the material and technical infrastructure of cultural institutions using national projects and state programs. Governor Andrei Bocharov has set the relevant objectives. Thus, 15 model libraries have already opened in the region in recent years. Another one will open by the end of 2025 – it will begin operating on the site of the Zhirnovskaya Central District Library.
